Unending Demo

"You have to make a mess to clean a mess"
"It's going to get worse before it gets better"

I don't know if these are real sayings, but they've been my mantra for the week. It's hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. But I know we will get there. This isn't my favorite part. I like the 'putting it back together and making it pretty' part. But I know it is necessary.

This was one of the truck loads of carpet. We had a few. This was most of the carpet from the upstairs.



This is the lovely wallpaper border that was in our dining room.  I say WAS because it is there no longer!
I will talk more about that tomorrow.

We've also started removing the lower paneling in that room.


And these are the cabinets that would not budge. That is my husband trying to bring them down. It took quite a lot but they finally came down. Pictures coming soon.


Scott and I are sore, cut up, tore up, and worn down. But we press on!
