Is that a dramatic enough title for you?
Yes, that is right. Our date has been moved.
Unfortunately not closer, but further away.
But it was our choosing. The renters in our house are renovating their new house. It still will not be ready for another two weeks.
The new date- November 30!!!
We are disappointed, but it is only 15 more days. We've waited 7 months. What is 15 more days?!
What? Winter is approaching? Our kids might need winter coats soon?
They will just have to wear lots of layers until we can get into our storage unit. I don't really remember what we even have in there. It will be like Christmas just having OUR stuff back!
We took pity on our renters. They would have had to move out once and find a place to live for two weeks and then move again. Huge inconvenience and cost.
But we aren't just doing it out of the kindness of our hearts. They are paying rent plus a little extra to help cover our storage unit and other costs for delaying.
So we have to start the countdown over again. Sorry. My kids are a little frustrated too. But we are finding some ways to make it up to them.
What do you think? Are we too nice? Or no big deal?
Our goal is to be in our house for Christmas!
You are being gracious and probably a wise thing to do to help the renters out. Sounds like a huge disappointment right now but i pray God will honor your respect for the renters and their timetable. So sorry for your delay...i hope it makes your joy even greater when you have your house!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Krysty! :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with Krysty, and it does mean you will have a little more time to do those things you are wanting to get done before you can move in. I want you to move in before Christmas too, we want to help you before we go to AUS! :)
