We got to visit our soon-to-be house on Saturday. It was a disappointment to say the least. I’m not going to go into all the details, but let’s just say it seems like they weren’t expecting us.
But I did get some pictures. Here is one of only two I took of the inside of the house.
We spent most of our time wandering the grounds outside. Last time we were there it was covered in three feet of snow.
There is an older couple to the left of the house that are building a home. They have already began the process.
The pond belongs to them and will be right in their backyard. You can see they have started digging the site to start on the basement.
Here is a view from the backyard looking at the house.
There is lots of debris and garbage that needs to be cleared out behind the shed. We actually still need to determine the border of our backyard because the previous property line cut through the shed.
Here are some pictures of the shed. We even ventured inside. It was actually pretty cool, but needs lots of cleaning up.
Lots of treasures to find. Notice the old lighting fixtures hanging from the ceiling. We tried the light switch but nothing happened.
These skylights help to bring in a lot of light.
I found a few of these old jars.
Sorry, very blurry. There is another room thru the door where Ethan is standing. Aren’t those turquoise shelves awesome?! I got a better picture when I turned on my flash. And yes, that is a men’s bathroom door on the floor.
I can’t wait to dig in and really get my hands dirty.
My realtor left me a voicemail giving me some prices of things like flooring and other things we want done. I need to do some research to see if what he is offering is a good deal.
Hopefully we will get things moving a little more this week. But with Tulip time and trying to finish up homeschooling- it’s going to be busy!
How was everyone’s weekend? Do anything exciting? It sure was a wet one!
That shed looks awesome! I want to help! :)
ReplyDeleteWhen are you going to be done with school for the summer?
My weekend was good, I know I already told you that I went horseback riding, but I thought I'd update you by telling you that I am currently walking with my legs slightly spread apart. They are much more sore today.
