The basement in the Perry Street house has a lot of potential. I was told that it stays dry and has never had any leaking issues. There is a TON of space. There is even a room that I didn’t take pictures of that would be great for a new craft room.
Here are the pictures that I took-
Stairs leading down to basement.
Rooms to the left and right. To the right would be that great craft room. To the left is a room with access to the outside through cellar doors.
The ceiling is a decent height. Isn’t the carpet beautiful? Candy-striped would be my choice any day!
Nice big open space.
Furnace room.
So, in the basement, we plan to have
- a craft room
- an exercise area
- a play area: we have a ping-pong, foosball, and air hockey table
- a storage room
It seems like there is plenty of space to do those things, right?
Of course, the changes I’d like to make are pretty much everything- new flooring, drywall, ceiling, and all of that. This is for way into the future. What do you think? What would you do to it? Divide it up by more walls? Or leave it open? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Have a great weekend everyone! Get out and enjoy the weather
I think you should not add walls, but perhaps separate the rooms with see-through shelves? That way, the areas are deliberately separated, but still feels open. :) I hope you know what I mean by see-through shelves haha.
